Schaeffler employees in the areas of operative service and training have processed the expertise gained through this experience in the newly published "condition monitoring practice". Schaeffler has published the handbook together with the well-known "W?lzlagerpraxis" in cooperation with Vereinigte Fachverlage from Mainz. It combines the theoretical understanding of vibration, vibration measurement and vibration analysis with plant knowledge, machine and component knowledge. Primarily, recommendations for action to optimize availability and efficiency are generated. Many illustrative graphics and images promote a deep, sustainable understanding. In the daily work of the maintenance engineer, the "condition monitoring practice" serves as a reference work and helper. In addition, the book is particularly suitable for the preparation of a certification according to DIN ISO 18436-2 Category I and II.

The way to the vibration expert

Schaeffler has been offering training courses for preparing certification for a number of years in accordance with DIN ISO 18436-2. This standard describes the requirements for the training and certification of personnel for condition monitoring and diagnostics of machines by means of vibration measurement. Such personnel certification is increasingly required, even presupposed in the wind power industry. Particularly independent service providers, after-sales staff of plant manufacturers and maintenance managers in one company prove their competence in the market by acquiring a certification, improve their chances in tenders and facilitate access to new and international markets.
